Challenge 13

It was suppose to be a simple piece of cake mission. Yeah right. Since when were any of our missions a piece of cake? I knew from the start that this was a bad idea, but then again, all of Hannibal's plans sound like a bad idea at first and they always
worked out in the end so just kept quiet.

I didn't say a thing and now Hannibal, Face, and I are tied up and stuck in an abandoned warehouse.

Maybe it was all my fault for not paying more attention to the surroundings. Maybe all of us should have paid closer attention, but
no, we went into the warehouse thinking we had everything under control. Yeah right. Even with all of our experience we didn't expect a thing. Can you believe it?

All of a sudden a tractor came out from no where, hit Face and knocked him out before we could figure out what was happening.

Next thing you know, the goons came out of the woodwork. They were everywhere and even worse, they had us surrounded. There really wasn't anything we could do when the leader walked over to Face and put a gun to his head. "Surrender now Smith,
or he dies." The guy said knowing full well we were backed into a corner without a prayer. Even through I already knew what we had to do, I waited to see what Hannibal to make the call.

"Lower your gun Murdock." Hannibal had said tightly. I did what Hannibal order because there was no other choice. Face's life depended on it and without BA we were out number. BA ? Where was he? I had no idea. Hannibal had sent the big guy off somewhere to get some equipment. The Colonel had said that he would tell Face and I later, but when the goons got the drop on us later never came.

After we dropped our weapons, the leader then strolled up to Hannibal and took his cigar and said, "Thanks Smith, my favorite brand too." When the guy tucked the cigar in his pocket he told his goons, "Tie them up."

Now I sit on the floor with Face's head in my lap, looking at Hannibal hoping he'll come up with a plan. I could just kick myself. If I had been paying attention I know that I could have stop it. Boy, right now I'm feeling pretty dumb for being taken off guard. I was so caught up I didn't realize Hannibal was talking to me.

"Murdock how's Face?" Hannibal asked.

"Faceman isn't responding, colonel," Murdock stated. "I never saw the tractor. I just didn't see it and usually I'm twenty-twenty vision. It just appeared out of nowhere like superman!"

"Don't worry, Murdock. It'll take more than a tractor to stop the A-Team, even a super hero one," The colonel stated with a smirk. The situation looked bad and the team just waited for news.

<<"Faceman isn't responding, colonel," Murdock stated.

The situation looked bad and the team just waited for news.>>

I'm not the kind of person who can just stand around and do nothing, the Colonel thought to himself. I'm a man of action. I know we'll get out of here. Even though it looked bad right now, BA is still out there and I know he'll come as soon as we don't show up. I glance over at Murdock and watch him as he gently holds Face in his lap. Silently, I listen to him talking to Face.

"Come on Face, open those big blue eyes for me. Come on, wake up. I got a bone to pick with you. That neck tie you gave me? Well it ain't me Face. No, No, it just ain't me Face."

As I watch Murdock, I know he's loosing it. Hoping to give him the strength to keep it together, I call out to him, "Hang on Murdock, BA's still out there. He'll get us out of here." Murdock nods his head.

Suddenly, we heard the sound of a tractor. Not the one that had hit Face, but a different one. Our eyes grow wide when the tractor bashes though the far wall. I smile. This tractor was an A-Team special. It was a steel plated contraption with a homemade cannon which was shooting potatoes out of its barrel. It was a sight to see. Potatoes were flying all over the room and the goons were going down one by one until finally none of them were standing.

"Nice BA," I call out as BA stepped out of the tractor. "Now lets get Faceman some help." As BA and I tie up the bad guys, Murdock carries Face to the van. In only a few minutes we're on our way to the nearest hospital to get Face patched up.

Two days before Christmas, BA, Murdock and I visit Face in the Hospital. Thankfully, it wasn't anything serious, and true to form Face managed to stick around the hospital in order to get a little sympathy from the lovely nursing staff. At least he's a lot better, and for that we're grateful. Even though I'm sure we're interrupting some of Face's action with the night nurses, we enjoy ourselves as we open our presents. I got a box of cigars. Murdock got a new cap, and a rubber toy for Billy. Face got a new little black book, and BA got a new gold chain. Suddenly, BA starts to giggle.

"What's so funny BA?" I ask curiously.

"Nothing Colonel, I'm just glad we are together."
